"A great marriage is not when the 'perfect couple' comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences." - Dave Meurer

What is the first thing you think of when I say the word "man"? Is it strength, masculinity, bravery, humor, heart breaker, or handsome? How about the word "woman"? Is it gentle, beautiful, kind, spunky, or talkative? We all think of different things when both words are brought up. Men and woman are naturally born different. We have different body parts and and many people will argue that they think totally differently. Men and woman are have many similarities but even more differences. These are:

Females:

  • More socially oriented.
  • Baby's are capable of soothing themselves.
  • Very communicative.
  • Generally more nurturing.
Males:
  • Aggressive (not necessarily in a bad way).
  • Babies are easily startled.
  • Are able to see things more 3-D oriented (a spatial and quantitative ability).
  • Generally more strong.
Men and women are born with these natural differences, but, this is not a "one size fits all" kind of thing. There are plenty of patient men taking care of babies while running a household. There are many woman working on their own who may not like to talk as much as others. When I was younger I hated barbie dolls. They were boring and never appealed to me as much as video games did. You couldn't catch me dead with a doll but that didn't change the fact that I'm still a girl. Males and females are all unique and special in their own ways. I believe we should celebrate our differences instead of trying to force the different genders to be more equal and exact.

Here's a helpful video that helped me to learn more about the differences in gender:
